General FAQs
Where is Circe's?
Circe’s is a rooftop bar in Waterloo, with panoramic views of London’s South Bank, including the Thames and the London Eye. Find us at Mercury House, 111 Waterloo Road, near Waterloo Station.
What's the vibe?
Circe’s rooftop is known for having a party atmosphere, with themed events, live DJs, and panoramic views of London. Sit for bottomless brunch, sip cocktails under the stars, or join our drag battles – usually standing room only. There are three fully covered and heated spaces and special events on at the venue every week and on occasions like New Year’s Eve.
Does Circe's Waterloo serve food?
Yes, we have Mediterranean-inspired food and cocktail menus, with vegetarian and gluten-free options.
When is Circe's open?
Circe’s opening times are:
Mon – 2pm until 12am
Tues – 2pm until 12am
Wed – 2pm until 12am
Thu – 2pm until 1am
Fri– 2pm until 2am
Sat – 12pm until 2am
Sun – 12pm until 12am
When does Circe's serve food?
Our kitchen is open until 10pm every day.
What is the dress code at Circe's?
The dress code is smart casual.
Is there a cloakroom?
No, we don’t have cloakroom facilities.
Is Circe's cashless?
Yes, we are a cashless bar and only accept card payments.
Are you wheelchair accessible?
No, we do not have a lift up to the rooftop and are not accessible by wheelchair. There are 75 steps up to our rooftop bar.
Can I smoke or vape on the roof?
You can smoke or vape in our designated smoking areas on the roof. Smoking and vaping are not permitted at the tables, in the bar or domes.
What is the Circe's guestlist?
Circe’s guestlist will be bookable under an event ticket link for Saturdays only if it is an event. There is no general guest list for non-event bookings.
Does the guestlist guarantee entry or a table in the venue?
No, the guestlist does not guarantee entry or a table in the venue.
Do Circe's have a loyalty card?
We don’t have a guest loyalty card, but we invite you to join Rooftop Rewards for a free cocktail and the latest Circe’s news and offers. We also have an offer for local businesses in Waterloo. If you work near our rooftop bar, you can join Circe’s Circle for a chance to win a £250 bar tab every month.
Are under 18s allowed in Circe's, Waterloo?
We operate a strict 18 and over policy. All guests must be able to show a valid form of photo ID on arrival. Failure to do so may result in being refused entry.
Can I bring my dog?
No, Circe’s is not dog-friendly, due to the nature of being a rooftop venue.
Booking FAQs
Can I book a specific seating area at Circe's?
Let us know where you would like to sit, and we will do our best. We cannot 100% guarantee a specific area unless you are booking all or part of Circe’s for a private hire. We have a maximum capacity of 500 guests in the summer and 400 in the winter.
How do I buy tickets for Circe's events?
You can buy tickets for our special events here. Circe’s Bottomless Brunch and key date events are famous across London and beyond. We have live DJs every Wednesday – Saturday from 7pm, playing the hottest tracks that’ll have you dancing under the stars.
What are the seating arrangements for my booking?
All guests are allocated a seat for brunch. All other bookings are made up of seating and standing space unless stated otherwise. We aim to seat up to 30% of the group. Guestlist bookings are standing only.
What happens if I am running late for my booking at Circe's?
We will hold your table for 15 minutes past your booked arrival time. After this time, we cannot guarantee your table will still be available.
Can I pre-order food and drink?
You can pre-order food and drinks at Circe’s when you make a booking, or by clicking on “Manage my Reservation”. There is no time limit for this on a standard food and drinks booking. For bespoke packages for corporate events or celebrations, please email bookings@circesrooftop.co.uk. We need at least 2 weeks’ notice for bespoke pre-orders.
How long can I have my table for?
All bookings are for a maximum of 3 hours.
Pre-ordering for your event booking
When do I need to pay for pre-ordered items and minimum spends?
All pre-ordered items and minimum spends must be paid for in advance of your booking. For standard food and drink bookings, you can pay and pre-order at any point before the date of the booking. Bespoke packages must be paid for no later than 2 weeks before your booking.
Can I use pre-ordered food and drinks on a different day?
No, all pre-ordered food and drinks are only redeemable on the day of your booking or event and are not transferable.
What happens if my guest numbers change?
If you have fewer guests than planned, we will try to help you maximise your pre-ordered package. This cannot be guaranteed if items have been ordered specifically for your event. If you need to increase numbers, you can manage your reservation via your confirmation email, subject to availability. If you have any issues with your booking, please call us or email bookings@circesrooftop.co.uk.
Booking cancellations and amendments
Can I reschedule my booking?
Yes, you can reschedule your booking with at least 10 days’ notice, subject to availability.
What happens if I need to cancel my booking within 72 hours of the booking date?
If you cancel within 72 hours of your booking date, and you secured your booking with a card authorisation, we reserve the right to claim your card authorisation.
Will you refund my booking pre-payment?
No, we do not offer refunds on any payments made.
What happens if it rains on the day of my booking?
Our rooftop venue is mostly covered, but we remain open come rain or shine so your booking will still go ahead.
What if my booking is in the Cloud 9 area and it rains?
You can move your booking to an alternative date free of charge or join us in the downstairs area.
